Avoiding Deaths from Growth Restriction - DVD

The largest group of deaths in CESDI is that of unexplained antenatal death (stillbirth). Although many are preterm, low birthweight at term features prominently. In many of these pregnancies avoidable antenatal risk factors were missed and care was inadequate.
This DVD will show the viewer how to predict growth restriction in high-risk women and detect growth restriction in low risk women. The important distinction of 'normal' from 'abnormal' growth restriction will be addressed. Guidelines on the investigation and management of this high-risk group will be developed.
