PROMPT Course Manual

The PROMPT (PRactical Obstetrics Multi-Professional Training) multi-professional training course covers the management of a range of obstetric emergency situations and contributes to the training requirements of the maternity standards for CNST levels 2 and 3.

This book is the Course manual for the PROMPT Course, but can also be bought as a stand-alone obstetric emergencies manual. Each subject is presented in an ‘easy to read’ format with ‘Key learning points’ identified at the start of each of the modules. Useful tips on teamwork training for effective communication in an emergency are also included.

The ultimate goals of training are to improve clinical outcomes and to reduce patient safety incidents.
