Overview
Basic science forms a core part of the curriculum for all subspecialty trainees. The aim of this course is to cover basic sciences in a structured and organised manner with specific reference to the principles and applications of basic scientific techniques and ideas. The format of the course includes core lectures relevant to all the subspecialties with break out groups to cover aspects of the curriculum specific to each subspecialty. It is not aimed as part of the revision for the MRCOG.
It is an opportunity to cover the basic science requirement of subspecialty training.
It allows delegates to become up to date with current research and clinical advances in basic sciences relevant to obstetrics and gynaecology. It is a forum for subspecialty trainees and subspecialists as well as generalists from different disciplines to share current research interests and experiences.
This meeting is aimed at subspecialty trainees and subspecialists in gynaecological oncology, maternal fetal medicine, reproductive medicine, sexual and reproductive health and urogynaecology. Also general trainees and generalists with a special interest in these topics.
