Obstetrics, Gynaecology and Reproductive Medicine journal publishes article on Clinical Research Networks and Clinical Studies Groups

Professor Andrew Shennan and Professor Steve Thornton are co-authors of the article "Clinical research networks and clinical studies groups", published in the current issue of Obstetrics, Gynaecology and Reproductive Medicine in the Ethics/Education section (Volume  21:4 April 2011, pages 118-119).

CCRN Reproductive Health and Childbirth National Specialty Group (RH&C NSG)

Following Professor Thornton resignation, Professor Andrew Shennan has been appointed as Chair of the RH&C NSG and has therefore become a member of the NRHRN Board.

Maternal Medicine CSG (MM-CSG)

The MM-CSG will contribute to the aims of the NIHR Clinical Research Network Coordinating Centre (CRN CC) http://www.ukcrn.org.uk/index.html to coordinate clinical trials across the UK, thereby enhancing quality, preventing overlap and maximising efficacy. The Chair of the CSG reports regularly to the NRHRN Board.
The Executive of the Clinical Studies Group for Maternal Medicine can help develop high quality studies by helping with protocol design and development, thus enabling successful development of funding applications. Funders may be particularly supportive of projects that have been developed in conjunction with the CSG.

Please allow sufficient time for the CSG to provide a comprehensive level of feedback.

If you have any clinical research ideas which could be facilitated by the CSG please send a brief overview to lucilla.poston@kcl.ac.uk .
