Revised guidance for clinicians in obtaining consent has been released, covering vaginal surgery for prolapse (Consent Advice No. 5) and caesarean section (Consent Advice No. 7).
The advice aims to ensure that all women are given consistent and adequate information for consent and is intended to be used together with dedicated patient information. To assist clinicians at a local level, we have included a fully printable page 2 of the Department of Health Consent Form 1, which can be incorporated into local trust documents.
