RCOG welcomes England's new Women’s Health Ambassador

17 Jun 2022

The Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists welcomes the appointment of Professor Dame Lesley Regan as England's first ever Women's Health Ambassador.

In response to the news, Dr Edward Morris, President of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists, said:

“This is a wonderful appointment. Lesley is a committed clinician and will be a fantastic advocate for women’s health. Having already achieved so much in improving care for women and girls as the previous president of the RCOG, we are thrilled that Lesley can continue her work, and help shape the Government’s upcoming Women’s Health Strategy.

“We look forward to continuing to work closely with Lesley, the UK Government and the NHS to implement real change to improve women’s health, and ensure that all women and people have access to high-quality care.”
