Three prizes will be awarded to students showing the greatest understanding of a clinical problem in obstetrics and gynaecology.

Applications should consist of one case history with discussion. The judges will look for insight into the medical, social and psychological implications of the case. A maximum of 1,500 words with 10 references should be submitted. Only one case history per applicant is permitted. Please indicate the name and address of your supervisor.

The Tim Chard Case History Prize has been endowed by Bart's and the London School of Medicine to mark the late Professor Tim Chard's contribution to obstetrics and gynaecology.

Submissions, which must include your address for correspondence, may be emailed to jhayman@rcog.org.uk or four copies of the typewritten submission on A4 paper should be sent to the Awards Administrator at the following address:

The RCOG is not able to offer assistance with finding placements. We suggest you contact your own Medical School for advice about identifying centres and appropriate projects.
