Peter Huntingford Memorial Prize

The Peter Huntingford Memorial Prize has been endowed by the British Pregnancy Advisory Service to mark the late Professor Peter Huntingford’s contribution to obstetrics and gynaecology.

John Lawson Prize

Through the generosity of the late Mr John Lawson FRCOG, the Council of the College is able to offer an annual prize of £150 known as the John Lawson Prize. Mr Lawson was a former Director of Postgraduate Studies and Vice President of the College. He was also a Professor of Obstetrics and Gynaecology in Ibadan, Nigeria, and was well renowned for his work in the developing countries, particularly in Africa.

David T Y Liu Prize

Mr David T Y Liu, author of the classic text Labour Ward Manual and pioneer in Chorion Villus Sampling is generously funding the above prize to encourage research and publication in this field.

Harold Malkin Prize

As a result of the generosity of the late Mr Harold Malkin FRCOG, the Council of the College is now able to offer two annual prizes known as the Harold Malkin Prizes.

Edgar Gentilli Prize

Through the generosity of the late Mr and Mrs Gilbert Edgar, the Council of the College is able to offer an annual prize of £750 known as the Edgar Gentilli Prize.  In addition to this amount, there is a further award of book tokens to the value of £250.  The award will be made in recognition of original work done on the cause, nature, recognition and treatment of any form of cancer of the female genital tract.
