Remit
To advise Council on matters referred to it by the President, Standards Board or Council relating to the ethical aspects and legal implications affecting the practice of obstetrics and gynaecology.

Remit
- To advise Council on matters of ethics of particular concern to obstetricians and gynaecologists and the women they serve.
- To respond to requests from Council, RCOG Committees, Fellows and Members and public bodies for guidance on ethical issues.
- To bring to Council’s attention emerging issues on which an ethical view needs to be taken.
- To keep under review and advise on adequate inclusion of ethical dilemmas in educational and training material produced by the RCOG.
- To keep under review and advise on RCOG’s policy on sponsorship and relationships with industry.
- To develop and oversee an area of interest on the RCOG website on ethical issues related to the specialty of obstetrics and gynaecology.
