Definition of CPD

"A continuing process, outside formal undergraduate and postgraduate training, that enables individual doctors to maintain and improve standards of medical practice through the development of knowledge, skills, attitudes and behaviour. CPD should also support specific changes in practice. "

An annual charge is levied for those participating outside the UK.  An application form is available to download for overseas participants. CPD participants who have successfully completed either the UK or Overseas CPD programmes are listed on the UK or Overseas CPD Roll.

Non-members of the RCOG must register as Associate CPD Participants. (Word document). The benefits of joining the programme are outlined here.
