Members' Admission Ceremony - Surnames A-K

(Please ensure you arrive by 11.30am at the latest)

An Admission Ceremony for Members will be held on Friday 25 May 2012 at 12.30pm in the Nuffield Hall of the College.  The College regulations state: "A Member may be admitted in absentia, if resident outside the British Isles, or, if in the opinion of the Council, the circumstances are such as to justify admission in absentia." If you reside in the British Isles and are not able to attend you must indicate your reason for not attending no later than Wednesday 23 May 2012.  Please telephone Miss Andrea Gale (020 7772 6296) if this is the case.

The relevant forms and your fees must be returned by hand or first class post, to arrive at the College no later than Wednesday 23 May 2012. Should you wish to pay your subscription fee online, please log in and click 'My Profile' in the top right hand corner of the screen (If you do not know your password, please click here). Your admission will be deferred until the next meeting of Council unless you have completed and signed the Declaration Form and paid your subscription by this date.

It is important to complete the Membership Register Details form carefully and to include a correspondence and email address so that the College may communicate with you swiftly.  It is also important that you provide full details of your current post and work address.

Please let the College know when you move to a new post or change your address.

Robes of the College will be worn during the Ceremony and representatives of Ede & Ravenscroft will be in the College from 9.00am to arrange hire.  The charge will be £36.00.  It will help arrangements if you have cash or your completed cheque ready.

An accredited photographer will be in attendance for private photographs. A framing service for your Membership certificate, along with a DVD recording of the day will also be available for purchase.  Please submit your order online in advance of the ceremony via the Success Photography website.

College ties, scarves and other insignia will also be on sale in the reception foyer.

If you are attending the Ceremony, you are asked to arrive in plenty of time to collect a robe of the right size and take your seat by 12.15am at the latest.  It may not be possible to admit you if you are late.

The College asks that you please note the following:

  • Mobile phones should be switched off during the Ceremony
  • No photographs or videos may be taken during the Ceremony
  • There are no crèche facilities.  We would encourage those with small children to watch the Ceremony in Committee Room 1 where a video transmission of the Ceremony will be shown.  Children must be supervised at all times.
  • There will be no parking facilities at the College.  An NCP car park is situated nearby in Park Road

You and your guests are invited to a drink and canapés reception following the Ceremony.
