We realise how important it is to treat securely any information that you provide and we maintain the highest levels of security.

The RCOG uses industry standard 128-bit Secure Socket Layer (SSL) encryption to ensure the highest security for credit card and personal details submitted to us over the Internet. This is the most advanced security level currently available for online transactions. Payments are handled by Sage Pay, a third-party payment service provider with the highest levels of security. For more information about Sage Pay security, click here. During the online payment process, no credit card details are stored by the College.

You can tell whether a page is secure as 'https' will replace the 'http' at the front of the address in your browser address window. A small locked padlock icon may also appear in the top or bottom bar of your browser window (depending upon the browser you are using). Clicking on this icon will display details of the certificate we use.

Recent surveys have shown that there is less fraud on the Internet than in real life situations (such as using your credit card in a department store or at a restaurant), and we are confident that we are offering the secure service you can expect from the RCOG.
