Bookshop terms and conditions

StratOG terms and conditions are listed at the bottom of the page.

The RCOG Bookshop guarantees all the books purchased through this site. If you change your mind after placing an order and wish to cancel your order, please contact the Bookshop staff as soon as possible. If the goods have already been despatched, we are happy to refund unwanted items that are returned to us within 14 days of their receipt as long as they are in saleable condition.

Please note that we cannot accept the return of software if the item has been unsealed.

Please return damaged or incorrect items to us as soon as possible and let us know the cost of returning them to us. This will be refunded to you. Please let us know if you would like a refund or replacement.

Returns Procedures

Please write your reason for return on the delivery note sent with your package and include with your return. Please package the relevant item securely and return within 30 days of the date that the item was delivered to you. Please send your return to: Returns Department, RCOG Bookshop, 27 Sussex Place, Regent’s Park, London, NW1 4RG, United Kingdom.

Non-delivery of Books

If your order does not turn up promptly, please contact the RCOG Bookshop who will advise you on the status of your order. Claims for non-delivery cannot be accepted more than 60 days after the order is placed as the couriers do not retain delivery information after this period.

Order Progress

You can check your order's current status in the orders section of ‘My profile’. If your books have not arrived within the quoted delivery time you can inquire into the status of your order by email: bookshop@rcog.org.uk, by fax: +44(0)20 7724 5991 or by telephone: +44(0)20 7772 6275.

Delivery Times

All orders are usually processed with one working day. Books in stock are usually sent the same day from the RCOG Bookshop. Books out of stock usually take a week to order from the publisher before being despatched. Inclusion of a title on this website does not guarantee that the book is in stock. You will be advised if we cannot send your order immediately.

Responsibility for Local Taxes and Duties

When books are sent outside the United Kingdom, the customer is liable for any local taxes or import duties that may be payable.

Security of Credit Card Payment Options

The RCOG uses industry standard 128-bit Secure Socket Layer (SSL) encryption to ensure the highest security for credit card and personal details submitted to us over the Internet. This is the most advanced security level currently available for online transactions. Payments are handled by Sage Pay, a third-party payment service provider with the highest levels of security.

Data Protection

The RCOG adheres to UK Data Protection legislation which governs the collection and management of personal information. The RCOG Bookshop undertakes not to divulge to any third party any information concerning customers that would be in breach of the Data Protection Acts.

Privacy

The RCOG is committed to protecting your privacy. We use your personal information to provide the information, services and products you have requested as well as for administrative purposes. We also store information about you using cookies. This is necessary for the shopping cart to function correctly. Cookies cannot be used by themselves to identify you or transmit personal information. We use a secure server when you enter into a money transaction from our website. We also encrypt your credit card number at the time when you place your order.

Validity

The RCOG Bookshop reserves the right to amend and/or extend these terms and conditions from time to time. The terms and conditions stipulated above are those currently applicable.

Refunds

Tutorials are non-refundable once purchased.

VAT

eTutorial prices are inclusive of VAT where applicable.

Period of access

Once purchased, access to a StratOG core eTutorial lasts for five years.

Data Protection

The RCOG adheres to UK Data Protection legislation which governs the collection and management of personal information, including images. Users should be aware that although their reflective notes are personal and cannot be read by other users of StratOG or website administrators, they should still ensure that any patient identifiable information is anonymised.

Limitations of use

StratOG access is designed so that each individual has a personalised login and account. A user’s access, learning record and reflective notes should reflect the details of a single user. We do not support the sharing of logins between individuals.

Under no circumstances shall the RCOG be liable for any special or consequential damages arising from the use or reliance on information contained within this website.

RCOG and the public

We regret that it is not possible for the RCOG to offer medical advice on any individual or general medical condition. Users of this website seeking advice on any medical condition should consult their medical practitioner.
