Continued professional development
The CPD programme requires collection of points in the following categories:
- local
- national/international
- personal/professional
- knowledge-based assessment

Core training
One credit per eTutorial can be claimed in the personal/professional category under eLearning.
A maximum of 25 credits is claimable in each five-year cycle for eLearning. Please note that participants need to select CPD activities that are linked to their job plan.
The Core Training eTutorials were originally developed for trainees studying for the MRCOG Part 2 examination. However much of the content goes beyond this level and is ideal refresher material for consultant level CPD.
How do I print my certificate?
Within each eTutorial on the top right-hand side are links to your learning history. This page displays the pages complete, pages yet to complete and your assessment scores. You can print off a copy of your learning record or save as a PDF and upload to your CPD ePortfolio.
Advanced training
Abortion care eLectures
One credit per eLecture can be claimed in the personal/professional category under reflective learning.
You will need to complete a reflective learning form, which is provided in the CPD ePortfolio. A maximum of 25 credits can be claimed for reflective learning in each five-year cycle.
How do I print my certificate?
Within the Abortion care eLectures, there are four sections indicated in the left-hand navigation (grey boxes). Click to go through to the last section, ‘Certificate.’ Here you can print off your certificate and save as a PDF and upload to your CPD ePortfolio.
Online lectures
One credit per eLecture can be claimed in the personal/professional category under reflective learning.
You will need to complete a reflective learning form, which is provided in the CPD ePortfolio. A maximum of 25 credits can be claimed for reflective learning in each five-year cycle.
How do I print my certificate?
Once you have completed an eLecture, select the option 'I have completed this page' found at the bottom of the main eLecture page (the page containing the link to the presentation). On the top right-hand side is a link to your learning history. On this page you can print off a copy of your learning record or save as a PDF and upload to your CPD ePortfolio.
Other resources
The teaching resources and workplace videos are not eligible for CPD at this time.
