Finding and managing information are core skills for obstetricians and gynaecologists. The ability effectively to search tools such as Medline and The Cochrane Library are key to evidence-based practice as well as research. It is also essential that healthcare professionals have an understanding of the implications of the Data Protection Act and the way this impacts upon the storage and processing information about patients.
