Introduction to diagnostic imaging in gynaecological oncology

Radiological imaging of gynaecological malignancies is part of an integral approach to staging and is important for treatment planning and establishing a prognosis. This tutorial reviews the commonly used imaging modalities in the diagnosis and staging of each gynaecological malignancy.

  • understand the role of radiology in diagnosis
  • be familiar with the imaging options used in staging
  • be aware of the imaging options used in follow up
