This tutorial reviews the issues in diagnosing and managing women who experience an intrauterine fetal death (IUFD). It will give you an insight into co-existent pre-pregnancy risk factors that may predispose to clinical challenges. It will also focus on appropriate investigations for women with IUFD. On completion of this tutorial, you should have a better understanding of IUFD. You will be capable of devising a specific management plan for women with IUFD, in order to minimise risk to them.
