Maintenance of midwifery services in the surge

Swine Flu in Pregnancy: Public Symposium
The lecture, Maintenance of midwifery services in the surge, is presented by Ms Louise Silverton.
This is the third of three lectures from the public symposium captured in October 2009.
Overview
Swine flu and the issues surrounding the current pandemic still dominate the global headlines, in particular the conflicting advice being given to high-risk groups including pregnant women.
The Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists, along with keynote speakers from the Department of Health and the Royal College of Midwives, organised a public symposium to provide an update on the current situation, what vaccines and treatments are available (and importantly, any possible side effects) and to calm any concerns at what can be a rather distressing time for pregnant women.
