The Human Fertilisation and Embryology Act 1990 will be updated to ensure that the law is fit for purpose.
The Human Fertilisation and Embryology Bill aims to revise and formalise legislation for assisted reproduction and will provide a regulatory framework governing embryonic research and therapy. It has been through the House of Lords and will be debated in the House of Commons.
