Course Convenor and Deputy Convenor – RCOG Operative Birth Simulation Training (ROBuST)

We are seeking a Convenor and Deputy Convenor for the RCOG Operative Birth Simulation Training (ROBuST) series of courses to oversee the organisation of them, both at the RCOG in London and franchised courses across the UK.

The ROBuST Course Convenors will oversee the whole of RCOG Operative Birth Simulation Training programming including the training of faculty to deliver the course locally and the quality assurance of College based and locally run courses.

Normally ROBuST Train the Trainer courses are run at the College twice a year, and the course itself is franchised to centres around the UK. Approximately 26 courses take place around the country each year.

Tenure of these roles: May 2022 – May 2025

The successful candidates will:

  • Be trained as a ROBuST faculty member at the College and either has led a course locally and/or has served as faculty member for the ROBuST Train the Trainers course held at the College
  • MRCOG/FRCOG 
  • Registered with a licence to practice with GMC, in good standing
  • Evidence of equal opportunities and diversity training within previous 3 years
