Invited Review Assessors

The RCOG Invited review service responds to requests from health care organisations for independent expert review of women’s health services.

The aim is to work supportively with services to help them address concerns raised about patient safety, clinical care or staff behaviours which could affect the quality of the service.

The RCOG Invited review service is currently advertising for assessors to join the database for service and case note reviews.

If you are an experienced practitioner with leadership experience and an interest in service design, governance and team dynamics, please consider joining our pool of assessors.

We would like to recruit Obstetrics and Gynaecology Consultants, Trainees (ST5 Level and above), Trust Grade Doctors, SAS doctors, Midwives and Gynaecology Nurses. Please see the relevant role description and person specification document below for full details.

  • CV
  • Statement of no more than 500 words outlining how you meet the experience, skills and knowledge of the role
  • A supporting statement from your Clinical Director or Chief Nurse accordingly – please ensure you provide their email address.

In accordance with College policy, all candidates should be up-to-date with their professional regulator and in Good Standing with their professional body.

Applications will be considered by the Vice-President, Clinical Quality, the Head of Quality of Improvement, and Senior Director of Clinical Quality.

Shortlisted candidates will be required to attend a full day mandatory development day on the Tuesday 12 November 2019 at the RCOG Office in Regents Park, London. Successful applicants will be notified soon after this date.
