The RCOG’s Equality and Diversity Committee was set up in 2014 to monitor the activities of the College and its committees to ensure that they are compliant with the Equality Act 2010, and since 2016, also with Public Sector Equality Duty (PSED). We are developing new ways to monitor the activities of the College and the way in which it is compliant with PSED, including a network of Equality and Diversity Champions.

Membership of the Committee includes both lay members and clinicians and meetings are held via videoconference. We are looking for clinician applicants who are passionate about the promotion of equality and diversity and are aware of the impact of equality and diversity issues in the workplace and organisations. This role will also give you an opportunity to further develop and improve your negotiating and influencing skills.

If you are able to advocate on behalf of the College and the profession and want to make a positive contribution to monitoring the way the College works then we want to hear from you.
