Examination & Assessment Committee

Chair

As Chair of the DRCOG Sub-committee, you will be responsible for delivering the College’s Membership and Diploma exams with the advice and support of various sub-committees, and in close collaboration with the Examinations Department. You will also be responsible for continually reviewing the content, validity, reliability and feasibility of examinations and assessments to ensure that they remain fit for purpose in educational and training terms.

This is a Tier 4 position on the College’s Faculty Development Framework.

 

Examination and Assessment Committee

Assessment Adviser (Exams)

As the Assessment Adviser for Exams, you will provide the Examination and Assessment Committee with professional advice on the latest research and best practice in medical assessment, as applied to College examinations.

This is a Tier 4 position on the College’s Faculty Development Framework.

 

DRCOG Sub-committee

Member / Fellow Representatives (1 vacancy)

As a Member/Fellow representative on the DRCOG Sub-committee, you will contribute to a range of activities related to the DRCOG exam, including writing, editing and reviewing questions, blueprinting and standard setting.

This is a Tier 4 position on the College’s Faculty Development Framework.

 

Part 1 MRCOG Sub-Committee

Chair

As Chair of the Part 1 MRCOG Sub-Committee you will produce a blueprinted examination papers twice a year, supervise the production of new examination questions and to work with the Examinations Department to ensure that the relevant question bank is kept up to date and adequately stocked. You will also be involved in training sessions for new examiners, examination standard setting and quality assurance processes and will review the performance of the questions following the examinations.

This is a Tier 4 position on the College’s Faculty Development Framework.

 

Part 1 MRCOG Sub-Committee

Member / Fellow Representative (1 vacancy)

As a Member/Fellow representative on the Part 1 MRCOG Sub-Committee, you will contribute to a range of activities related to the Part 1 exam, including writing, editing and reviewing questions, blueprinting and standard setting.

This is a Tier 4 position on the College’s Faculty Development Framework.

 

Part 2 MRCOG EMQ Sub-committee

Member / Fellow Representative (2 vacancies)

As Member/Fellow representative on the Part 2 MRCOG EMQ Sub-committee, you will contribute to a range of activities related to the EMQ component of the Part 2 exam, including writing, editing and reviewing questions, blueprinting and standard setting.

This is a Tier 4 position on the College’s Faculty Development Framework.

 

Part 2 MRCOG SBA Sub-Committee

Member / Fellow Representative (5 vacancies)

As a Member/Fellow representative of the Part 2 MRCOG SBA Sub-committee, you will contribute to a range of activities related to the SBA component of the Part 2 exam, including writing, editing and reviewing questions, blueprinting and standard setting.

This is a Tier 4 position on the College’s Faculty Development Framework.

 

Part 3 MRCOG Sub-Committee

Chair

As Chair of the Part 3 MRCOG Sub-committee, you will supervise the production of new examination questions and work with the Examinations Department to ensure that the relevant question bank is kept up to date and adequately stocked. You will also be involved in the examination standard setting and quality assurance processes.

This is a Tier 4 position on the College’s Faculty Development Framework.

 

Part 3 MRCOG Sub-Committee

Member / Fellow Representative (3 vacancies)

As Member/Fellow representative on the Part 3 MRCOG Sub-committee, you will produce new tasks prior to the meeting and submit them to the Chair in advance of the meeting, review the performance of the tasks following the examinations and edit tasks in committee or review other members’ tasks prior to meetings. You will also be involved in the blueprinting of the Examination and its sub-sections and in training sessions for new examiners as required.
