As our Corporate Governance and Risk Manager, you will act as principal advisor to the Chief Executive, President and Chair of Trustees on all matters of governance and risk.

About the role
In this pivotal role, reporting to the Chief Executive, you will provide expert advice and support on all matters relating to corporate and charity governance, statutory and legislative compliance. You will also lead our risk management and assurance requirements, including those associated with Health & Safety and College-wide document controls.
In this role, you ensure the College has robust systems of corporate governance, ensuring their effective operation in line with our Charter, RCOG regulations and the relevant legal and statutory frameworks.
Acting as our risk specialist, you will lead the delivery on the risk management agenda across the College, and assist in the development and implementation of the risk management & assurance strategy along with other systems and processes that underpin an effective integrated governance system.
You will develop a proactive risk management culture across the organisation.
As the ideal candidate, you will have:
- Significant experience working at a senior level appropriate to this job description
- Solid experience of corporate governance of board and committee secretariat duties
- Strong understanding of principles of information assurance and data protection
- Strong understanding of Assurance and Risk Management principles and how they apply within a corporate context
- Strong IT skills
