Upcoming Fellow admission ceremonies
Oman Congress postponed – Fellowship ceremony cancelled
Read below for more details on the Oman Congress and Fellowship ceremony.
Friday 18 September 2020 (time TBC) – RCOG, Union Street, London
We look forward to welcoming Fellow Elects and their guests to our forthcoming Fellowship admission ceremonies. It is an occasion for the College to acknowledge and celebrate the many and continued contributions made by our members to the care of women globally. We will strive to ensure it is a memorable event for you.
Oman Congress postponed
25 March 2020 – World Congress in Muscat, Oman
In light of the current global outbreak of novel coronavirus (COVID-19) and following the advice of the Omani Ministry of Health, we have made the difficult decision to postpone the RCOG World Congress, which was due to take place in Oman on 25-28 March 2020. This unfortunately means that we need to cancel the Fellowship ceremony which was due to take place on Wednesday 25 March where members were due to be elevated to Fellowship of the RCOG.
Until earlier this week we had been very much looking forward to welcoming members to Oman later this month and were committed to doing everything we could to make the event a success, including following World Health Organization advice to ensure safe running of our event within the ongoing COVID-19 outbreak. However, the Omani Ministry of Health has now advised against mass gathering activities of more than 500 participants, including medical conferences, and they have requested that we postpone our Congress. We support this decision to protect the health of everyone attending our event and those women and families who we care for.
