Become a Committee Member for the NICE clinical guideline on Termination of Pregnancy Guideline Committee

The National Guideline Alliance (NGA) part of the RCOG has been commissioned by the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) to develop a clinical guideline on Termination of Pregnancy. The public are invited to apply for a position on the Guideline Committee.

As a Guideline Committee member you will have the opportunity to work with NGA staff to develop the guideline.

Customer feedback from Guideline Committees

One of the NGA's main customer groups are the members of our Guideline Committees.

We asked 270 Guideline Committee members across 17 committees how well they felt we are delivering our service to them.

The results were positive, encouraging, and useful for informing the our future work.

NICE eating disorder guideline published

We are happy to announce the publication of the following mental health NICE guideline developed by the National Guideline Alliance (NGA).

'Eating Disorders – recognition and treatment NICE guideline' is available from 23 May 2017 to view and use as NG69 on the NICE website.

NICE mental health guideline published

We are happy to announce the publication of the following mental health NICE guideline developed by the National Guideline Alliance (NGA).

Mental health of adults in contact with the criminal justice system is available from 21 March 2017 to view and use as NG66 on the NICE website.

Fetal monitoring recommendations

We are delighted to confirm the publication of the NGA-developed NICE exceptional review of the fetal monitoring recommendations in CG190.

Recommendations in CG190 have been exceptionally reviewed and adapted in response to stakeholder feedback and implementation issues, taking account of new evidence.

We are delighted to confirm the publication of the NGA developed NICE guideline in Cerebral palsy in under 25s (NG62).

NICE guideline on eating disorders: recognition and treatment

The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) guideline on "Eating disorders in over 8s: management" was first published in 2004 (NICE clinical guideline CG9). Following a surveillance review in 2014 a decision was made to update the guideline with a publication date set for 2017.

The NGA were commissioned by NICE to develop guidance to improve end of life care for babies, children and young people.

New guideline commission

The National Guideline Alliance (NGA) is delighted to announce that we have received our first social care guideline commission from the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE). The topic of Support for Adult Carers will address issues facing the estimated 7 million carers in the UK.
