NICE guideline published on assessment and management of cerebral palsy in under 25s

We are delighted to confirm the publication of the NGA-developed NICE guideline in Cerebral palsy in under 25s (NG62).

Recommendations in the new guideline focus on the causes of cerebral palsy and how to manage common comorbidities, saliva control, pain, sensory and perceptual difficulties, mental health problems and communication issues. The guideline also aims to improve the recognition of red flags for associated neurological disorders.

Further details can be found via the NICE website with the guidance on the assessment and management of cerebral palsy in children and young people aged under 25 years is now available at: www.nice.org.uk/guidance/ng62.

NICE has also commissioned the NGA to develop guideline on the management of cerebral palsy in adults.
