Recruiting for NICE Committee members

Become a member for the NICE Cerebral Palsy in Adults Guideline Committee

This is an exciting opportunity to help shape how the NHS provides care for adults with cerebral palsy.

About NICE guideline committees

Guideline Committees for the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) comprise leading healthcare experts as well as lay people (people with personal experience of a condition).

The National Guideline Alliance (NGA) is commissioned by NICE to help the Committee develop the Guideline by providing a multi-disciplinary health services research team with expertise in systematic reviewing, information science and health economics.

Guideline committee member role

As a Guideline Committee member you will have the opportunity to work with NGA staff to develop the guideline.

We are particularly interested to hear from you if you are a practising health or social care professional with demonstrable relevant experience and knowledge of cerebral palsy in adults in one of the following areas:

  • GP
  • Speech and language therapist
  • Psychologist
  • Dietician

We are also looking for the following co-opted members who would attend 1 or 2 meetings in an advisory function:

  • Psychiatrist
  • Geriatrician

For details of how to apply, visit the NICE web page on joining the committee.

Closing date for applications is 5:00pm Friday 7 April 2017.
