An opportunity has arisen for a Membership Engagement Coordinator (Events) within the External Affairs Directorate at the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RCOG).

This is a key role, supporting the delivery of the membership engagement strategy. Specifically the role will develop, facilitate and manage engagement events with key membership groups including admission ceremonies, career stage specific events, Liaison Group (LG) and International Representative Committee (IRC) Chair meetings and ‘country days’ (i.e. India Day).

You will be responsible for planning membership events from inception through to completion; including budget setting and management, communications, venue logistics, agendas/ programmes, speakers and the attendance of all relevant RCOG staff.

You will work closely with the Head of Membership to develop and support membership engagement activities supporting the delivery of projects and initiatives. You will act as a key contact between membership groups and staff across the College in projects and support ensuring excellent communication and coordination of work.

As a successful candidate, you will experience of organising and managing successful events and meetings. You will have experience of securing and managing event sponsorship opportunities and working with a range of stakeholders (face to face and virtually) to develop programmes and agendas. You will have exceptional organisational skills and be able to manage multiple tasks and stakeholder needs to meet deadlines. Excellence communication and customer service skills are also essential, as well as a strong work ethic and willingness to work on own initiative and as part of a team.
