- No intercalated degree specifically in O&G; most intercalating students do one of the Masters of Research (MRes) degrees
- Majority of the degree is a research project, which could be a lab-based or clinical project in O&G
- Remaining credits are taught modules, many of which are generic and would be applicable to O&G (e.g. systems biology, cell cycle control)
