Additional exam diet February 2022: Priority candidates and eligibility

26 November 2021

The impact of Covid-19 has had a major impact on our ability to meet the demand for exam places from our overseas community.

As part of our commitment to our global O&G community, we are pleased to offer an additional exam diet in 2022.

This diet is exclusively aimed at providing candidates outside of the UK a further chance to sit the MRCOG Part 3 exam.

Centres

  • India, UAE and Egypt
  • Global

Am I eligible for February 2022?

UK trainees on a specialty training programme are not eligible to sit in this exam diet – we have been able to meet our commitment to provide two opportunities for trainees to sit the exam over the last, and current, academic year.

Candidates who sat the MRCOG Part 3 exam in November 2021 are also not eligible to book a place in February 2022, because results will not have been issued ahead of the booking tokens being released.

Priority candidates

In recognition of the challenges faced by candidates due to a decrease in the number of exam places available, we will be providing candidates who passed the MRCOG Part 2 exam before the start of the pandemic, and have not previously sat the MRCOG Part 3 exam, the first opportunity to book into available places.

Following the priority booking window, remaining spaces for all centres will then be available for all other eligible candidates to book a place, when the booking opens for all candidates.

See full details of centres and priority candidates on Part 3 MRCOG: Venue details.

For booking window dates, see Part 3 MRCOG: exam calendar and fees.

India, UAE and Egypt: Fully remote exam delivery

  • Egypt: 21-22 February 2022
  • UAE: 22-25 February 2022
  • India: 22-25 February 2022

These centres will be operating a fully remote delivery, with candidates joining remotely from their own homes through our online system.

These countries will be supported by our overseas examiners in each of the countries listed.

Priority candidates

Candidates will be given the first opportunity to book a place during the priority booking window who:

  • have passed the MRCOG Part 2 exam before September 2020, and
  • have previously not sat the MRCOG Part 3 exam.

For booking window dates, see Part 3 MRCOG: exam calendar and fees.

Global: Fully remote exam delivery

  • Global: 21-25 February 2022

These centres will also be operating a fully remote delivery, with candidates joining remotely from their own homes through our online system.

These centres will be supported by our UK examiners, and are available for all other overseas candidates.

Priority candidates

Candidates will be given the first opportunity to book a place during the priority booking window who:

  • reside outside of India, UAE and Egypt,
  • have passed the MRCOG Part 2 exam before the start of 2020, and
  • have previously not sat the MRCOG Part 3 exam.

For booking window dates, see Part 3 MRCOG: exam calendar and fees.

We would like to thank all candidates for their patience and understanding whilst we have been trying to navigate through the challenges presented by the pandemic.
