Letter from Dr Reena Aggarwal MRCOG about European Meeting and Exchange Programme of Trainees in Obstetrics and Gynaecology in France, March 2018
It is my pleasure, as your ENTOG representative, to invite you to take part in the ENTOG Exchange 2018.
ENTOG was established in 1997 as the trainees' arm of the European Board and Congress of O&G (EBCOG) and currently has members from 29 European countries. Every year, ENTOG organises an exchange in one of its member countries. Trainees from other countries are invited to take part in clinical attachments in hospitals throughout the host country, learning how O&G is practised and how training in O&G is achieved.
This year the exchange will be held from Monday 5 to Wednesday 7 March 2018. The ENTOG scientific meeting and Council will take place on Thursday 8 March. I am sure the experiences of our European colleagues will be valuable for all of us!
The RCOG is granting a travel award for two trainees, enabling them to take part in the exchange in France and participate in the scientific meeting alongside the Council meeting.
To be eligible, you must have a National Training Number (NTN), be at ST3 or above, you must have passed your part 1 MRCOG and you should have completed at least 2 years of training in O&G in the UK. You should also be able to demonstrate an interest in international O&G and medical education.
If you are interested in applying for the 2018 Exchange, please use the attached application form (Word document 17kb) and send this to Tania Chambers at the RCOG email@example.com, to arrive no later than Monday 4 December 2017, with a view to registering for the exchange as soon as possible thereafter. Please also attach a personal statement explaining why you think you should be selected to go onto the Exchange. Attached to this call for interest is a statement from the organisers whom I know will ensure that exchange is a huge success.
For more information and to read reports of previous exchanges please go to the ENTOG section of the RCOG website or the ENTOG website.
