ATSM: Abortion care

The abortion care ATSM is suited to clinicians who enjoy patient contact and the rewards associated with the delivery of holistic health care. The nature of abortion services means clinicians will deal with a greater proportion of young, disadvantaged and socially excluded populations than those working in general gynaecology. This means abortion care is suited to clinicians who take a non-judgemental approach to women’s health care.

Log of experience

The log of experience is designed to help you monitor your clinical experience and record your training. You don’t need to submit this log to the RCOG, but your School may want to see evidence of your experience. You can develop your own spreadsheet if you prefer.

Keep this log of experience in your Training ePortfolio. Record your training in as much detail as possible, for your own benefit as well as for your ATSM Preceptor and deanery.
