The purpose of this implementation note is to provide Heads of School and Deanery Administrators an update on difficulties arising for Deanery Administrators recording ARCP outcomes on the Training ePortfolio.
There are currently some permission issues with the ePortfolio ARCP form which are preventing it from functioning effectively, specifically:
- Forms can only be created by Deanery Administrators at present, and not Heads of School or TPDs as should be the case
- A created ARCP form can only be accessed by the Deanery Administrator who created it, and created or in progress reports are not easily visible to other Deanery Administrators or members of the ARCP panel
- Trainees are unable to view the completed reports
This feature is in development as part of our regular updates and improvements to the training ePortfolio. We estimate that the fixes to recording ARCP outcomes will be live on the training ePortfolio w/c Monday 7 October 2019. We are also working on other minor fixes to functionality which will be deployed at this time.
Before this updated feature is live, Deanery Administrators are encouraged to record trainee ARCP outcomes on paper to minimise as much disruption to the ARCP process as possible. The current ARCP outcome form can be accessed through the COPMeD website here.
Please note that this point is only applicable to the new ePortfolio.
Transferring trainees and trainers to the new ePortfolio is a complex undertaking, with many technical dependencies. Whilst the transfer has been largely successful we are grateful for your patience as the new ePortfolio and Curriculum are established and would like to thank you for your support in rolling out the new Curriculum.
