Identify multiprofessional champions
Establish a multidisciplinary group of individuals who are all personally committed to improving the culture and working relationships within an organisation. The group should comprise:
- Interested consultants
- Labour ward midwifery and obstetric lead
- Several band 7 midwives
- Junior and senior trainee representatives
- A department manager
This group should oversee the implementation of many of the ideas in this section of the toolkit.
Alongside this, it’s critical that the trust develops and agrees a zero tolerance policy towards bullying throughout the organisation (see the relevant pages in the ‘strategic’ section and the ‘unit, trust and local education provider’ section of this toolkit).
