How to determine whether you’re being bullied or undermined

This is one of the recommendations from the ‘individual’ section of the RCOG/RCM undermining toolkit.

How to determine whether you’re being bullied or undermined

Have you experienced persistent behaviour which matches the definitions of bullying, harassment and undermining? Did you feel undermined? If so, it’s likely you’ve experienced undermining.

However, this can be a grey area – one person’s constructive feedback is another person’s bullying. If you’re not sure, you may find it useful to watch the videos produced by the RCOG on workplace behaviours.

The RCOG will publish an eLearning package in early 2015 which you may also find useful.
