Please read the below essential information for your attendance at 2019 RCOG World Congress.
Onsite registration will open at the following times:
Sunday 16 June: 3pm – 7pm
Monday 17 June: 7am – 7pm
Tuesday 18 June: 7am – 7pm
Wednesday 19 June: 7am – 5pm
The registration desks will be located in the ExCeL, ICC Boulevard, Level 0.
You will receive your e-badge prior to arriving at Congress. For fast-track entry, simply print out the email or have it available on your smart phone/device, bring it with you to Congress, present at the registration desk / scanner desk and your badge will be printed. We ask that you wear your name badge at all times during Congress. Security staff will use your badge to allow access to the event. Please note that if you lose your badge there will be a £50 charge for issuing a replacement. We will also require Photo ID before re-printing your badge.
Travel and directions
For travel assistance with travelling around London we recommend using the TFL Journey Planner at https://tfl.gov.uk/. When using this Journey Planner to get to the RCOG 2019 World Congress, please enter Prince Regent DLR as your final destination. This station is located next to the ICC ExCel Conference Centre.
Download the 2019 Congress app for Android or iOS users by searching for RCOG2019 on your device’s app store. Exciting app functions include:
- Live polls – answer speaker’s questions during live talks
- Social feed – post your latest comments and photos of Congress and share your thoughts and experiences with other delegates
- In-session Q&A – all questions for session speakers can be sent via the app and will be facilitated by the chair in each session
Arrival, morning and afternoon tea breaks will be provided as part of the main Congress registration, along with a Grab and Go sandwich lunch each day. This will give you the flexibility of spending your lunchbreak either viewing the iPosters, attending a sponsor symposium, visiting our industry partners or attending on of the other lunchtime sessions. The majority of dietary requirements will be catered for within the main menu. If you have a different dietary requirement that isn’t already catered for please make yourself known to catering staff.
Hot drinks are not allowed in the auditorium or the Capital Suite rooms.
There will be a number of water stations located around the venue and we recommend you bring your own reusable water bottle to refill and use during the Congress.
All of our electronic posters (iPosters) will be viewable via our 20 on-demand touchscreens, located in the iPoster area of the exhibition hall and our 30 laptops, located in the Capital Suite Foyer. A further 10 touchscreen will be available for 5 minute pre-bookable slots to present your iPoster to colleagues and other Congress attendees. Please see further details below regarding the booking process for these screens.
iPoster – pre-bookable screens
We will have 10 screens available for pre-booked iPoster presentations. These pre-bookable slots are only available to book onsite from 8.30am on Monday 17 June. If you would like to pre-book a 5 minute presentation slot (available during select break and lunchtimes), please visit the booking desk which will be located in the iPoster area of the exhibition hall and a member of the iposter team will assist. If you are unsuccessful in booking a pre-bookable 5 minute slot, you are still able to view your iPoster on one of the on-demand screens.

Live streaming/Overflow rooms
We anticipate that some streams will be very busy and seats will be allocated on a first come first served basis so please arrive promptly if there is a session that you really want to see. We have made provision to live stream some popular sessions into parallel rooms so that as many people have the opportunity to view their preferred stream, as possible. Unfortunately there is not space at ExCeL for us to stream all sessions to other rooms. More information on which streams will be streamed and where they are streamed to can be found in the app.
Feedback/Certificate of attendance
You will be invited to complete our short feedback survey and will be send an email with further instructions following Congress. Upon completion of the feedback survey, you will be able to view and print your certificate of attendance.
CPD and Accreditation
Those registered on the current RCOG CPD Programme may claim up to a maximum of 1 CPD credit per hour of learning achieved at the Congress and associated Early Sessions and Pre-Congress Workshops (excluding discussions and refreshment breaks). The emphasis in the CPD system is what you have learnt rather than a blanket number of points per event so the number of points will be different for each individual. You should only claim credits for the time completed for learning. More information can be found on the app.
If you have purchased social event tickets these will be printed alongside your name badge.
Babies and Children at Congress
We want to make it as easy as possible for parents and carers to attend Congress, so the RCOG has made a number of provisions for those delegates wishing to bring babies and children with them. Please visit here for full details.
If you are bringing a friend or family member with you to help care for your child whilst you are attending sessions please visit the registration desk when you arrive so we can issue them with a badge grant them access to the Parent’s Room.
On Tuesday and Wednesday mornings you’re invited to join us for a yoga session in Capital suite 17, between 7am and 8am. Mats will be provided, but please wear suitable/comfortable clothing. These sessions will be on a first come, first serve basis and are free of charge.
Charging your devices
We will have a number of charging units (located in the exhibition hall and Capital suite foyer) to enable you to charge your device during Congress. These will be free of charge; however you will need a credit or debit card for securing your locker.
A cloakroom will be available in the registration area (level 0 boulevard) and open during main Congress hours, closing shortly following the end of the final session. The fee is £1 per item for coats and luggage - please be aware that the venue cannot store cameras, laptop equipment or any other electronic devices.

For onsite assistance, please look for the RCOG 2019 World Congress Events team, who will be easily identified as they will be wearing ‘Here to Help’ sashes. You can also visit the main registration desk and speak to a member of the team.
Photography and Filming
Please note that professional photos will be taken during Congress, including the social events and Pre-Congress workshops. If you do not want to be included in these please let the photographer know. You are welcome to take your own photos and share them via our app or Twitter using #RCOG2019. We ask that you do not record any of the sessions.
ExCeL London’s Prayer Room is located on the Boulevard next to Wrapped Retail Unit, near S8 entrance.
ExCeL London offers visitors access to their complimentary Wi-Fi which is located throughout the venue. The RCOG 2019 World Congress will also be offering dedicated Wi-Fi in its three app hub hotspots, located in the exhibition hall, Capital Suite Foyer and registration area.
