Social events

We are excited to confirm that we have 2 paid for social events as part of the RCOG 2019 World Congress in London. Please see further details on each, as follows.

We recommend booking early to avoid disappointment as places on each event are limited and we expect tickets will sell out. You are able to book up to 2 tickets per social events (1 ticket for yourself and 1 ticket for a guest).

Medieval Banquet (Medieval-style dinner and themed show)

Price: £65 (this cost includes: a welcome drink, 4 course dinner with wine, beer and soft drinks during dinner, live entertainment of a Medieval theme, dancing/disco)

About: The Medieval Banquet is one of the most entertaining London attractions and one you’ll be telling your friends about for years to come. Be part of 1,000 years’ of history and join King Henry VIII at his royal banquet in this extraordinary dinner-theatre experience. You will go back in time to the days of kings, queens, knights, acrobats and jesters at this fascinating venue. You will dine on a 4 course banquet with wine, beer and soft drinks included (additional drinks will be available to purchase at your own expense) while being entertained by acrobats and court jesters and listen to live music from the cast of the evening. The night will finish with a DJ and dancing until late.

Location: St Katherine’s dock, London E1W 1BP

Directions: The nearest underground station is Tower Hill on the District and Circle lines (5 minutes’ walk). From the station, turn right and walk under the main road towards the Tower of London, turn left and walk alongside the Tower of London and under the road that leads to Tower Bridge, turn right and then first left and walk alongside the moored boats. The Medieval Banquet is directly ahead.

The nearest DLR station is Tower Gateway (5 minutes’ walk).
A two minute walk along East Smithfield and you will reach the St Katharine Dock's entrance, The Elephant Gates.

The nearest British Rail station is London Bridge (Approx. 20 minutes’ walk), which has regular services seven days a week. From London Bridge, walk east down Tooley Street, cross Tower Bridge, and St. Katharine’s Dock can be seen to the right.

Access: The Medieval Banquet is situated in the vaulted cellars of Ivory House and due to building restrictions, wheelchair access is limited.

 

Thames River Cruise (on-board the Dixie Queen)

Price: £75 (this cost includes: a welcome drink, BBQ buffet including dessert canapes, beer and wine with dinner, soft drinks all evening, on-board entertainment including DJ)

About: Join us aboard London’s largest party boat the Dixie Queen, a replica 19th century paddle steamer for an evening of music and entertainment all with the ever-changing backdrop of London’s famous sights including Tower Bridge, located next to Tower Pier were the cruise will embark/disembark. The evening cruise will take us out past Canary Wharf and historic Greenwich, round The O2 peninsula and through the Thames Barrier.
