To obtain a visa, all visitors must have a passport valid for more than six months from the date of exit from Oman.
Citizens of ‘Group -1’ countries

Citizens of ‘group 1’ countries, can either apply for tourist a eVisa online through the Royal Oman Police Website or a tourist visa can be issued on arrival at Muscat International Airport. However, we recommend you apply in advance to avoid queues and any issues. The eVisa is valid for 30 days from the date it is issued and not the date of travel so please don’t apply online more than 30 days before the date of your return home. To apply for an eVISA online you will need:
- Electronic passport-style photo (the size not more than 512 KB)
- Details from your passport

Citizens not from ‘Group -1’ countries
Citizens from non-‘Group-1’ countries will need to apply for a sponsored visa and can request assistance visa through the RCOG Congress Secretariat, MCI by emailing or email@example.com or your preferred travel agent. You will need to apply by no later than 15 March 2020 to obtain a visa so please contact MCI or your travel agent in good time.
Residents of GCC countries
Citizens of GCC countries (UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait and Bahrain) do not need to process Oman visa in advance. Only their national ID is enough for them to enter Oman.
Expatriates living in any of the above GCC Counties are eligible to get visa upon arrival at Muscat International Airport only if their profession mentioned in their residence visa is one of the professions mentioned here. Your residence visa and the passport must also be valid for a minimum of 6 months from the date of entry into Oman.
