Assisted Conception

Assisted conception continues to face rapid developments clinically and scientifically. The topics and the speakers have been carefully chosen in order to offer the most relevant and evidence-based information.
This course will closely follow the guide to learning of the BFS training module on Assisted Conception and will cover the following areas:

  • Overview of the work up of female and male partners
  • Management in an assisted conception unit, including the role of the regulator(s)
  • IUI and IVF techniques, laboratory aspects and clinical protocols
  • Limitations and complications of assisted reproductive technology
  • Controversial issues in ART – Preimplantation Genetic Diagnosis (PGD) and Screening (PGS) and gametes donation
