The IUGA is dedicated to the global advancement of urogynecological knowledge and patient care through education and the promotion of basic and clinical research on disorders of the female pelvic floor. They recognize that urogynecology is a multi-disciplinary field that benefits from the expertise of primary care physicians, urologists, midwives, gynecologists, nurses, and allied health professionals, in addition to urogynecologists. This symposium will be targeted to physiotherapists, midwives, nurses, and other allied health professionals who play a crucial role in the treatment of pelvic floor disorders.
Working closely with Nursing and Pelvic Floor Rehabilitation Special Interest Groups, IUGA have developed an educational and interesting program filled with information about pelvic floor dysfunction, birth trauma, nursing and physiotherapy management, pessary management, and ultrasound and advances in treatment. Over two days, the attendees will attend plenary sessions and lectures and participate in hands-on workshops.
