Overview

Designed by Medical Students for Medical Students, the RCOG has joined forces with the British Undergraduate Society for O&G (BUSOG) to create a day designed to give you a taste of what O&G has to offer, as well as offering tips on how to make the most of your undergraduate experience.

The day will feature lecture based presentations as well as advice zones on specific issues. There will also be hands-on workshops so you can try out some of the many practical aspects of O&G, facilitated by a selection of O&G’s Specialist Societies.

This event is free to attend, however you must register to secure your place.

A complimentary sandwich and refreshments will be provided.

Why to take this unique opportunity to showcase your work. The RCOG and BUSOG invite you to submit an abstract to be presented at the Medical Students Day 2019

Abstract rules

  • Abstracts must follow the structured format outlined using the template in the abstract submission form
  • If you are submitting multiple abstracts, please complete one form per abstract
  • All abstracts will be considered for the oral presentation in the first instance. Those not selected for oral presentation will automatically be considered for poster presentation
  • The subject or content should relate to any field in Obstetrics and Gynaecology
  • Abstracts must not exceed one side of A4 in length (including diagrams and figures) using single-spacing, maximum 300 words.
  • Certificate will be given the main presenting author only
  • Only authors named on the abstract are permitted to present the poster
  • Presenting author and co-authors must register to attend the event through the RCOG website

How to apply

Complete the abstract submission form and email it to generalsecretary@busog.org.uk

Deadline for submissions: Monday 5 November, 2pm
