This one-day event for Clinical Directors explores both the new and the ongoing challenges for medical leaders across the NHS. It is an opportunity to share experiences with your peers, to hear from leading clinical figures, and to engage in an open Q&A with the President and Vice President team in our 'Meet the RCOG Officers' session to round off the day.
Delegates will participate in lively debates, interactive workshops and Q&A sessions that will better prepare you for the challenges of medical leadership. The May forum will focus on the question 'What is the role of a Clinical Director in leading the drive for safer care?', covering key topics such as job planning, workplace behaviours and medico-legal issues, and will see our speakers discuss and demonstrate the ways a Clinical Director can apply practical methods and encourage positive behaviour to influence safety culture in the workplace and to shape an environment that drives staff to deliver better care.
The Clinical Directors Leadership Forum is a must-attend event for both recently appointed Clinical Directors and experienced clinical leaders who are seeking to develop and refine their leadership skills and encourage a culture in which delivering better health care is paramount.
Course delegates are also given the opportunity to feedback to the College on the impact of national policy on the clinical leadership and front line service delivery, thus helping shape the College's agenda for the year ahead. It is an ideal arena to discuss the issues and potential solutions and is recommended for all Clinical Directors.
