KebomedKebomed

Kebomed UK with our German manufacturer DynaMesh are delighted to be involved with many of the college events again this year.

With pelvic floor meshes still under the spotlight, it is reassuring that there is a proven polymer engineered from the purest material, offering long term stability post implant.

DynaMesh uses PVDF (polyvinylidene fluoride) as it base material for all its pelvic floor range of meshes.

PVDF filaments have excellent biocompatibility and reduce adverse foreign body reactions, such as scar contraction, additionally they are smoother than conventional polypropylene fibers. PVDF is associated with substantially lower granuloma formation (scar tissue) compared with conventional polymers polypropylene.

Reduced bacterial adherence with PVDF.

Scientific studies* from Aachen University (RWTH) Hospital demonstrate that lower quantities of bacteria adhere to textile implants made from pure PVDF (reduced bacterial adherence). This is a significant finding for all open techniques because the risk of infection drops substantially with lower bacterial adherence.

Kebomed and DynaMesh wish you an enjoyable and rewarding conference.
