Gulf development project

The RCOG has identified the Gulf region as a priority for sustainable growth. This page provides information about our Gulf development project.

With our Gulf development project, we are working to:

  • Develop a 5–10-year route map for both trainees and senior doctors to gain RCOG membership or become accredited faculty
  • Develop new ATSM-style accreditation programmes
  • Partner with training providers and university hospitals to create RCOG-accredited training centres
  • Collaborate with local professional O&G associations, ministries and regulators on joint conferences and events
  • Encourage the growth of membership and welcome Associates to join the RCOG
  • Explore the future potential of a regional office covering Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and UAE

Our objective is to move to a more strategic relationship with governments, regulators and leading service providers, positioning RCOG as a high-level partner able to support step-change improvements in women’s health care.
