The gynecological cancer care clinical indicators project is a collaboration between the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RCOG), British Gynaecological Cancer Society (BGCS) and the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine (LSHTM).
The aim of this project is to develop clinically relevant, methodologically rigorous, and technically robust performance indicators to assess current practice of gynaecological cancer care in England. We are examining the potential of using existing cancer registry data linked to administrative hospital records as a data source for the evaluation of cancer services at different levels of care.
The first report outlining the variation in care delivered to women with gynaecological cancer will be published in late 2018.
