Early view

TOG articles are now published online ahead of print. As soon as a TOG article is accepted, it goes straight into the 8-week production cycle and is published online as an ‘early view’ article before being assigned to an issue. Articles are subsequently published in print.

This is a new step for TOG, so currently only the articles are published online ahead of print. Other content, such as the editorial and CPD questions, are still published first in the print issue.

Once published online, early view articles will appear under the Early View heading in the Journal Menu in the left sidebar of Wiley Online Library (access TOG online via the main TOG page).

TOG content alerts

To keep up to date with the early view articles, please subscribe to the TOG eTOC (electronic table of contents) from Wiley Online Library. An email will notify you each time a new TOG article is published online.

How to subscribe to TOG content alerts

  • Log in to the TOG Wiley Online Library page with your email and password (RCOG Fellows, Members and Trainees: please note that this is a different login from your RCOG website login).
  • If you haven’t yet registered, visit the Wiley Online Library user registration page.
  • Once logged in and on the TOG Wiley Online Library page, click on ‘Get New Content Alerts’ in the top left-hand corner of the screen. This then automatically adds the alert to your profile.
  • Click on your profile (top right of screen) to check that the alert has been added (under alert manager) and to change any preferences.
