New RCOG website launched

News 15 September 2014

Today, the RCOG launches its new website, with a fresh new design and several new features.

The website has been reorganised under new content headings to make it easier to navigate around the site. The search function has been improved, and there is also easy access to the most frequently visited sections of the site – such as guidelines, our journals, The Obstetrician & Gynaecologist (TOG) and BJOG: An International Journal of Obstetrics and Gynaecology – from the ‘Quick links’ box on the homepage.

The new design will adapt to the screen size of mobile devices such as smartphones and tablets, making it easier to access RCOG website content while on the go. The content is all still accessible via NHS computers but, owing to the age of some NHS systems, not all of the new design features will display.

Fellows, Members and Trainees who are logged in to the site will be able to see content tailored to their career stage. For example, from the ‘Quick links’ box on the homepage, Trainees will be able to quickly access information about the curriculum and specialty training programme, while Fellows/Members will have easy access to information about CPD and revalidation.

We also have a more prominent patient section which is easier to navigate and brings together all materials available for women and the wider public interested in women’s health.

Ian Currie, Vice President for UK Affairs at the RCOG welcomes the new and improved site:

“The new website provides our many users with an enhanced and easy to navigate site. We are delighted with the look and feel of it and look forward to hearing your feedback.

“We have spent months researching this project and have consulted with our members, fellows and trainees and the wider public to ensure we deliver what our users need out of this vital resource.”

More information about using the new site is below. If you have any questions or comments about the new site, please email online@rcog.org.uk.
