  • Join your trust sustainability working group or set one up if it doesn’t yet exist.
  • Incorporate and sustainability as a standing item in clinical governance meetings. Make sustainability part of business as usual.
  • Encourage your hospital to take part in a Green Team Competition. Raise awareness while cutting emissions and saving the trust money.
  • Join the Clean Air Hospital Framework.

I want to use my voice to call for wider change

  • Join a local climate action group or environmental advocacy group (see list below).
  • Write to your local MP about an environmental issue that is important to you. Draw attention to the health benefits of protecting the environment.
  • Hope For The Future have letter-drafting guidance on key issues including clean air and the phase out of fossil fuels.
  • Advocate for organisational change at a local and national level such as divestment from fossil fuel companies and implementation of green plans.
