What to expect
These drop-in sessions offer practical support and advice for all doctors working toward specialist registration and preparing an application for the Portfolio Pathway. Sessions are open to all doctors working toward specialist registration via this route.
Hosted on Microsoft Teams and led by members of the Portfolio Pathway Advisory Group, sessions focus on common challenges and offer space for general Q&A.
Themes we explore
Over the months, we will explore different themes. These may be around:
- The standards of assessment; ‘Knowledge, Skill and Experience’ and how best to approach meeting the key skills
- The purpose of the learning descriptors and their importance
- Best practice for completing OSATS, NOTSS and reflective practice
- The use of artificial intelligence (AI)
- Hearing from past successful applicants on their journey and any advice they may be able to share
Please note: Any guidance provided in these meetings will be generic and not specific to particular evidence or individual. We cannot look at or assess particular pieces of evidence nor confirm whether evidence will be accepted. We also cannot comment or advise on submitted applications or previous decisions.
